I am thankful that this semester is finally over. It is purgatory just by thinking how seemingly long this semester was. I felt I have aged more than before.
Disappointed that probably I will not be getting any internship this summer. I had applied for two and both got back to me. However, there isn't any calls of confirmation as of now. I was hoping especially to get the chance to intern with 1 of the statutory boards in Singapore, since the public sector is where I hope to work in after I graduate. Perhaps I am just not good enough yet.
Tuition has been temporarily suspended to allow my boys to concentrate on their other papers for their mid-years. I am looking to rope in a possible 3rd or 4th student. In the long run, my current two boys would leave me after finishing their O levels at the end of the year. It is time to look for additional students so that my main source of income is still sustainable.
Looking at the brighter side, being deprived of internship means I am able to work in numerous temp jobs to keep the cash flowing. A previous trip to the ATM machine left me in a rude shock when the figures appear on the screen. I am prepared to be a workaholic for the next 3 months.
Anyway I will be starting work tomorrow with 1 of the telcos in Singapore, albeit a relatively short stint. Hopefully, the people there are nice!
