I am happy that one of my former students manage to do well enough in his O levels to continue his education journey. Considered that he is not local-born and he has been consistently failing his English, it takes considerable efforts from him to clear this subject. I wouldn't claim all credit for his success, because it always takes two hands to clap. Teachers can only assist students in their preparation for examinations and ultimately, it is left to the students to fight in the actual battle. I am very glad that he did not give up and now he can enjoy the fruits of his labour which is to proceed to poly to continue his studies.

Each and every student has his/her particular niche that needs to be discovered and nurture in order to assist them to realise their full potential. I strongly adhere to this belief in each and every student under my wing, unless they give up on themselves first. Tuition is not just about money, it comes also with responsibility. This is because naturally, a teacher will be gratified to see his/her student achieves the desired results. Such hope and sense of achievement shared by both student and teacher upon receiving good results cannot be measured by the value of money.

Currently, I have two O level boys under my wing. I want to do my very best to see them succeed too.

A new semester kicks off tomorrow for me. Yet another round of battle begins!

Countdown with the lads and other friends at Dragonfly. It is my first time hanging out with other mature clubbers at that club. I must say is not too bad an experience but I still prefer Powerhouse and its R&B dance tunes. Drank like a fish that night, ranging from 1 Chivas, 1 Martell and 1 tank of Tiger. Nearly became a merlion in public.

I told myself that 2010 is a new year which signifies a new beginning, but it did not start off entirely in a fresh slate. I guess certain memories are still there and cannot be easily locked up as preferred.

Nonetheless, this is a year in which Andrew resolves not to be disappointed easily again. My priorities are unchangeable as follow:

1) continue to study hard to see my CAP continue the upward climb

2) continue to exercise hard to maintain my fitness, have a better body and most importantly, clear IPPT to get some free money

3) continue to work hard and save up more money, which means tuition as usual throughout the year and temp jobs as and when suitable.

The rest will just let nature takes its course.
