Today I had a palatable consultation with my Korean history professor for nearly two hours. It helps too that the person who scheduled a consultation after me did not turn up at the allocated time and hence I was able to lengthen my session. Discussed over my mid-term test, outline of my soon-to-be due research essay and areas where I can improve on. Felt enlightened and can feel the motivation coming. These days whenever I get a grade in the B range I will feel damn sian 1/2. Will be stunned for a moment and proceed to look through the paper and wonder what is wrong. There is always a reason why there is a disparity among students when it comes to awarding grades. It is the extra spice/flavour/edge/taste etc which distinguishes A grade students from the rest of the cohort.
So far in this semester I have gotten nothing less than a B for all my assignments/projects/essays/mid-terms. Every bit counts and all is not lost. It is still possible to influence the overall grades for all my modules.
The playing rate of a value-for-money breakfast deal on TV mobile from Pa pa La Pa pa these days is ad nauseam. It is so frequent that I can memorise the dialogue between M auntie and Mr Lim at the drive-through setting.
M Auntie: "Mr Lim, Zao!"
Mr Lim in a car: "Eh, Zao!"
M Auntie: "Ni de zao can'' *smiles*
Mr Lim: "Xie xie ni, Auntie" *smiles back*
M Auntie: "Ming tian jian, bye bye!"
Mr Lim: *waves*

It is ubiquitous and overplayed. It is also comparable to a trailer of a local movie a few years ago with the robotic chant of "Bai Liu Li Bai!! Hui Bu Hui Kai!!!!!!" which drove commuters nuts while waiting for their trains to arrive.
The power of commercials is a force to be reckon with.
