Merry Christmas to all !

OMG , I just woke up. Still feeling the repercussions from partying till the wee hours till this morning..

Was supposed to meet up with my gabrielite brothers and in the end , the original total strength of 5 was reduced to a dismal number of 2. Two out of the clique had pulled out earlier , citing family commitments. Leaving only 3 , there was suggestion to go to CHIJMES to chill out but eventually another withdrew , professing that he had to console his friend who met with a car accident earlier and ended both of them and their respective girlfriends went to eat steamboat and watch movie. It was disappointing indeed , of course I gave the dude the benefit of doubt that he has to console the friend the whole night and forsake his other brothers. Afterall , he is my good brother. It is inane and freaking gayish too for two guys to proceed on the plan to chill out at CHIJMES. My friend and I were like saying if we knew this would happen , we will rather go out with our own other friends instead. I even went into some extemporaneous acts by calling up some of my other friends who happened to have no plans at all but it was rather late for them to come out. In the end my friend managed to call out 2 of his army mates and we went to Barfly @ Clarke Quay first to chill out while waiting for the two friends to come. We ordered a jug of beer. I had expect to be given back my change after handing out a blue note but the freaking waitress ate up my $2.90 ! Oh well..perhaps they thought that Christmas is a season of giving and sharing and this concept applies to consumers making merry at their bar as well. Saw a group of rambunctious ang mohs and chinese singaporean ladies with their contrived westernised accents nearby. Sarong-party-girls , or SPGs for short , hanging out with western guys seem to be an ubiquitous norm , ain't it ?

The two friends arrived shortly and the group of us decided that Barfly ain't exactly our cup of tea , hence we decided to head to MOS to club. Glad we did go there , because at least it was more happening. The music was screwed but the crowd was spontaneous. Got to know this girl who is quite cute. We happened to be dancing beside each other and it was not until when we were up on the podium that things naturally clicked. She was telling me she thinks I am cute and I was like "oh..okay..". Won't go into explicit details about what happened but there was no raunchy aftermath if anybody is interested to know. A friend of mine who did it several times with his girlfriend , shared with me what he thinks. He told me that if he would to marry his present girlfriend now , there would be nothing special to look forward to on the wedding night when the both of them consummate because he had already seen it all before that. What's supposed to be seen has been seen , and what's supposed to be done has already been done. If time allows him to backpedal , he will rather not touch his girl and save it till marriage. I could not concur more with his views. Personally I feel that sex is an embodiment of the highest stage of love shared initimately between a couple based on true and real feelings for each other instead of just under the moment of heated passion. It's better not to engage in pre-marital sex , but then again , nobody can prognosticate what the future lies ahead. With so many proven cases of couples being unable to resist the temptation to try the forbidden fruit , chastity seems to dice into rarity these days.

Happy 21st birthday to MYSELF !!


Today is my 21st birthday and I already planned long beforehand to take leave from 5th - 7th Dec. Was already on off yesterday. Though I am on leave , I still went back camp today as usual specially for e-mobilisation which is different from the last time as this time it is concomitant with having to acknowledge the activation not only through phone but also have to sign in the nominal roll in front of the admin clerks from my unit. What luck , of all days they just have to choose this day. I did not want to be peripatetic because I know I will cab home from camp to change after the activation. Hence , I followed the usual shuttle bus to base in the morning and changed to my work overalls and bumped around in the workshop , awaiting for Mindef's call. They called at around 0905 hrs and I was the first few among the seniors and juniors to receive the call. Luckily they call + message to my phone , and after responding I literally flew upstairs to find the admin clerk. Some of the folks know it's my birthday and they wished me. Determined not to let any stuffs being any impediment to my plans later , by 1010 hrs I was out of base in civilian attire. Despite the heavy downpour , moods were not dampened and I really enjoyed the rest of the day with serene =)

Celebrated my 21st birthday in advance on saturday. It was not a large-scale party and hence I only celebrated with my family and close friends over a lunch and/or high-tea buffet at Allson Hotel. I have known Siow Fong since our STC days in 3rd TPT. Always like to gay when I am perfectly straight. LOL. He is straight too. Beneath his seemingly nonsensical exterior is some1 who thinks and gives sound advices at times. "Love comes when you least expect it." I remember that :)

Kenneth is from the same class with me in jc , and very coincidentally posted to STC too after BMT and together posted out to navy but now he is in Changi while I am in Tuas. Lots of people say we look like real brothers. Do we ?

Anthony is 1 of my closest buddies from STC. He stayed on in STC while I was posted out to navy and as a result , we hardly meet up due to clash of schedules. December will be rather relax , we meet up again for pool and movies soon like before ok ?

Edwin used to be from STC too and he was actually the first guy I talked to when posted there initially. Friendly and cool guy and as evident from this pic , he is a real fashionista. Next time if I have an interest in caking my face with make-up I can sought his advices :)

Wei Loong is also 1 of my closest buddies from STC. My fellow RAINIE fan ! But she is mine ok ! that's because she is already known as Mrs Tan. haahahahahhahaha.

Jackson and Alvin are my best secondary school buddies aka basketball kakis. Though only 3/5 of the gabrielite clique is present , but no worries let's meet up soon as a group for outings :)

Poh Keong and Shang Jing. My 1st 3 months jc classmates cum brothers. Thanks for being there for me , especially when times were hard. Thanks for encouraging me and supporting me always. We will ORD soon and going to university after this. I am sure we will be successful together in future :)

Cheng Guan. 1 of my best brothers since jc. CG has his own unique style and his own unique way to express himself. Thanks for being there always , regardless of my ups and downs. It's been very long since we last go out together with Zhenling too. Must fix a date in December and I am looking forward to 18th Jan because both of us are going JAY CHOU'S CONCERT ! :)

Thank you to all of you who marked this important milestone together with me. Thanks for all the gifts and presents too.
