Finally today is my off day. I deserve to take a break from camp long ago.

Navy open house is over weeks ago and it was a resounding success I suppose. In my opinion , we worked hard for the double-digit days of off that was given to us per person. I was standing under the hot sun marshaling and was thoroughly burnt like a lobster for three consecutive days. I attribute this is because I am fair-skinned , that's why I get sunburnt easily but now I am tanned like a bangala , especially my arms. Now is back to usual routine in camp and as the workload increases day by day , becoming darker and darker is a fortiori , especially in the afternoon when the rays from the sun hit on us mercilessly regardless whether we are operating the crane or signalling. Out of all my usual tasks --- admin , operating , signalling and driving the vehicles (tadano cranes , forklifts , cherry picker) , my favourite is actually operating the crane. I don't mind operating the crane the whole day , though is tiring because 101% concentration must be there when lifting objects regardless small or big items. My favourite out of all these is to operate the tower crane , which I specialises and always volunteer myself for almost all the tower crane jobs available on schedule. Doing admin can be daunting , since I am the admin IC and I am responsible for planning and detailing the jobs for the week. Handling users who want to indent our service can be nerve-wrecking initially , but as days go by and with more experiences gained , I learnt how to handle all sorts of situational problems and be decisive on matters of importance if my supervisor is not around. Thankfully , so far most of the users are quite nice people , as in they ain't demanding and are understanding enough not to give me problems. Vice versa , I try to accomodate their needs too so that both parties are satisfied of the outcome. I think whatever it is , just take everything by stride , including criticism too. Afterall , I am just a NSF. I just have to fulfill my obligation for 7 months and 17 days more from this date onwards and I shall get back my pink IC and continue my journey in life. No use getting upset over stuffs that won't affect my future.

A freak incident happened a week ago in camp which could have caused me to be crippled for life. It was scary and clearly safety was compromised when I landed on the ground awkwardly from the forklift. I thought it was a mere bagatelle , that everything was under control since I did not fall or something but I experienced pain on my left leg , so much so that it hurts whenever I walked or stoop with my knees bent. I suspected that I pulled my hamstring , hence I went to see a chinese practitioner to fix the problem. It got better , though occasionally it still hurts whenever I stoop down or stretch my left leg. However , when I played basketball , there is no pain at all. Kind of strange but anyway if the problem persists , I will probably go visit another practitioner again.
