It's 2007 now and it is now nearing the end of January. Time flies like a blink of an eye. Life is still the same , every weekday travel to and fro from camp to home and vice versa. What I am doing now in camp is kind of unique in the sense that not many people have heard of the requirements and roles my vocation is expected to perform. Basically is operating cranes , forklifts , JLG to assist in the lifting of goods / equipments for those navy personnel who engaged our services. It is a panorama by what u see in channel 8 's 9 pm show "The Peak" though we don't operate cranes from such a high-up positions but rather from Tadano vehicles and the floating dock ---- which itself is considerable high enough to get a bird's-eye view of the battleships on docks and the nearby Keppel people at work. If I am not wrong , some of the scenes from "The Peak" are actually taken from there. Those Keppel stuffs , Asian Hercules and whatnot.

Very soon , the seniors are jettisoning their status of full-time national servicemen and we are going to take over them officially. That ORD kind of feeling is undescribable and no amount of money can be used to trade off the new found freedom once again. 1 more year , it will be my turn. By next year this time I will have passed on my roles and duties to my understudy who will be handpicked by me to take over. The others who are ORD-ing later than me and another camp mate of mine will continue to guide the fresh guys whereas I will start to countdown to my final days till the end of national slavery. Frankly , I can't wait. I wish 2007 will quickly pass by. The first thing I am going to do upon receiving back my pink IC is that I am going to look at the card , kiss it and say something like : " it's good to see you again my friend". No kidding.

2007 is also an important year for me and all 1986 babies. Why ? It's because we are going to officially step into ADULTHOOD ! Turning legal 21 means you are given the carte blanche to do everything you want , but of course never do anything that trancends the eye of the law or do something heinous that will destroy your own future. Unless you are prepared to give up your family..your friends...your dignity..your freedom....
