Priestess of Cuteness : Rainie Yang Cheng Lin !I went to Bishan J8 yesterday for Rainie's autograph session. It was great ! The queue to get her autograph was so long. Luckily my pal was with me to kill time. Doing this crazy stunt (queueing for autographs) was the first for both of us and our 'firsts' gave it to 'Mrs Tan'. She is so radiant and beautiful in person ! Yes , I know she is always associated with the label as 'cute' but she really was very pretty in a grey tank top and purple skirt with glittery pearl accessories yesterday. Those who were there will surely agree with me. Rainie sang 'Ai Mei' and 'Li Xiang Qing Ren' as I predicted she will. Both are my fav songs ! It was not really a long wait (we started queueing about 6pm and got her autograph by 8pm) since she signed pretty fast. As usual , lots of digital cameras and hp-cameras-totting people. Pretty much reminded me of the previous one we went at Cyndi Wang Xin Ling's who happened to be my pal's fav. Yeah , my friend and I were also busy snapping pictures of Rainie. It was tough because we were so far away from the stage and we had to tip-toe and held our cameras high to snap pictures. I even recorded her sang live though was only the chorus part of both songs for fear that the memory space in my camera will run out. I shook her hand ! But she held her hand slightly slanted so it was not really a proper handshake. I didn't tell her that she is my 'li xiang qing ren' though. I think I will blush because I think it will be rather awkward. Anyway I save it till I meet my real 'li xiang qing ren'. Below are the best of the best pictures taken. Enjoy !

It capped a memorable night. I never do such a thing before in the past and I guess what attracted me to Rainie is that besides she has a sweet disposition and has a winsome smile and being the type of girl I will like is that her songs are nice. "But it takes more than just good looks to sell albums. No matter how beautiful you are , if your songs are lousy , people will not support you.'' as quoted by Rainie herself in today's new paper which I agree it fully. The key factor which drawn me is her songs which are really nice otherwise I wouldn't waste time queueing if the album is rubbish. Is like going for a girl in terms of overall package instead of just merely focusing on her looks. That will be so shallow if is the latter.
Getting more and more frustrated as days passed.
Hope things get better.

Prom was fine. Coco Latte after that for a while and kbox till 5+ a.m. before my pals and I returned to our hotel room. It was great fun. I think what was disappointing that night was that there was no dance. Only selective people were invited up to stage to bring some entertainment to the rest of us and that was it. To think it was 'Dinner & Dance' ----minus the dance left the dinner. The dinner was horrible by the way. It was very obvious to everybody that the main purpose was to go around taking photos with people. More about prom and prom pics next time.
From after prom till now I am busy running around negotiating job offers and went through interviews. In the midst of these I found some spare time to go for kbox sessions with a pal. I think it's a new interest --- a renewed interest in fact. The last time I went kbox was 2 years ago and I remembered that time when I first sang I was laughed at by a brother ------- or rather , an ex-brother. Ever since after prom I recovered confidence to sing again and kinda addicted to it. I may not be the best singer around and sometimes off-key but am improving as always. This new hobby doesn't come cheap , and I am still behaving like an unemployed hooligan who goes either galivanting/slacking around. I could have started work already if I did not mind the salaries some offered. I turned down an expanding life sciences company , kbox and a weekends-only promoting cellphones job. Could have started work too to promote laptops had I impressed that woman. She found me not suitable for the job even though I have sales experiences. Disappointed no doubt because to promote laptops is a fresh challenge. To think I travel to Jurong East so early in the morning only to get rejected. As a result , I apologised to my bed and ez-link a million times.
Thankfully though , I haven't start work yet because my great-grandmother passed away on Wednesday. These few days are her funeral wake and Sunday is her sending off. I pray that she will rest in peace in heaven.
Dropped by the once familiar office but it was now located in a new environment yesterday. Glad to see an old face again and also several new faces. The old face still recognised me and was rather surprised I dropped by. It's been like a year since I last saw and chatted with her. Another old face was gone and sometimes I wished she was there. After all , she was the one who introduced me to my previous 2 jobs and whom I am most familiar with. Now is replaced by a new face. I guess there are no such things as 'forever'. Things just come and go.
Battled successfully too against a serious outbreak of ulcers. I swear this was the most serious case out of my 19 years of life. Got extremely heaty after prom probably due to the combination of late nights and too much junk food. As a result , my mouth got so swollen that I had Jolin's lips for a while and when I smiled I looked like Sylvester. So you can imagine the weird combination. There were many 'Indonesia' and 'Philippines' on both of my upper and lower lips (consisted of hot-potches of ulcers). Glad that now I am fine thanks to the doctor.
Watched Chicken Little too with my friend last saturday. It was screwed. I mean , it is so dim-witted and the story plot is cheesy with a 4-eyed chicken claiming that the sky is falling. Sure , it's a cartoon movie and is meant in some sense to be illogical but please don't dupe us/audience by that commercial of the chicken dancing to the tune of O-Zone's famous Romanian dance song , Dragostea Din Tei. It has absolutely nothing to do with the movie itself. No doubt we felt cheated. The duration is only 81 minutes but minus all the commercials I think is just 70+ minutes. To think we paid $9.50 each too. Join KFC's Chicky Club can get even more value. 4 + 1 = 5/10 as a rating. The 1 point is awarded since I managed to laugh at least a bit throughout the movie. Probably the most meaningful part of the movie is the emphasis on father-son communication and the phrase that 'everyday is a new day'. The rest is zZzZzZ.
Hopefully next week will start work. Really cannot go on like this leading a life to be described by a friend's words "only $ go out but none come in". If all other offers fail to come through , I probably work as promoter promoting alcoholic drinks.
Happy 19th birthday to me ! I don't know why but I keep on humming the tune 'Zhu Wo Sheng Ri Kuai Le' to myself. Nah , today is not supposed to be a sad day like what Landy's song portrayed out to be. Anyway I had celebrated my birthday over the weekend with my family over dimsum high tea at Goodwood Park Hotel , watched Aeon Flux (not bad for a sci-fi movie but duration too short) and cake-cutting yesterday. Today is my actual birthday but I won't be celebrating with my family because tonight is my college prom. Few more hours will be checking in to Goodwood Park's to prepare for prom at Grand Hyatt. Partying at Coco Latte after that. All the administrative stuffs and misunderstandings that stirred up over the preparation for prom especially over the hotel room fees have all been solved among us. Today and especially tonight is going to rock I am sure.
Wishlist '05 Besides the material wants such as nice clothes and nice accessories etc , Pro-Star soccer figurines of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho , iPod etc , basically my wishes are ......
1) to get into university
2) all my family and friends to be happy and healthy always
3) to keep on improving in all areas I am capable of
4) forget the past and move forward with confidence and courage
5) to be happier and don't think too much of stuffs that only serve to bring disappointments
To sum it up , I just hope to be a better and improved person overall. Learn from past mistakes and lessons and continue the journey forward with courage and grace. If God permits and fate allows , to be able to meet a nice girl along the way will be a bonus. Although I often said that nice girls already ceased to exist in this century , I still and always believe that one day I will be able to find the true happiness I work and hope for.
