Today is a great day. I dragged myself out of my bed around 9:15 am. reluctantly. Was really tired because I worked alone yesterday which was a grand total of 11 hours straight till 9 pm. Luckily today is my off day otherwise dunno how I survive. My partner off yesterday and the replacement who was supposed to stand in was sick. My management couldnt find some1 to replace so I worked overtime lo. More money anyway.
I was out of the house at 11+ then made my way to my management's place to collect my pay for last week and the Visa event. So happy ! Even though it's not my first time getting pay. I have been working for 3 straight years' Nov & Dec vacation jobs but it's always a different feeling when u get pay. The money u earned it urself. Chatted with Stacy Jie for a while and got to know that today my replacement is a boy. My partner must be kinda disappointed and I was right. lol. He was like telling me I was so lucky because all along my partners are girls until now and he didnt get the chance to work with girls b4. Hahaz. Typical of him la. After that I went shopping alone in town. I bought a new wallet chain which I super duper like it and targetted long ago. Been using the present black beads wallet chain for quite some time and is time to change for a new 1. I just love accessories. If you are thinking I am using my salary to buy..you are wrong. My pay slip is in cheque so I am using part of my savings instead. Went to visit my colleagues stationed at Paragon and Taka respectively and chatted with them 4 a while too.
After that left for home to put down all my stuffs and was supposed to go amk library to research 4 my cla project + meet Yee Kheng for dinner but due to the rain so have to cancel it. Thought I will be packing dinner from nearby coffeeshop to eat alone at home then my mom called me to ask if I want to join her and Auntie Esther out for dinner. Y not ? We went to Jack's Place at Compass Point. The food was heavenly. My mom bought me a new watch as a present for my coming birthday. Thanks mom. I love u.
Btw yesterday was also Nicole Jie's birthday. I was supposed to treat her eat dont later she say her Di bo xim but today cant because I was busy with my own stuffs. Hah. Find 1 day when I am off then meet up with her and she will be treating me vice versa ! haha. yEa ~~
My partner just told me that today they had 9 orders..breaking the record me and my previous partner had by just 1 more. Real cool. Hope tml will be more when I get back to work. Cheers.
The sales report of last week is out already and my workplace is rank first out of 11 locations islandwide in terms of christmas orders and sales. I was talking to the admin clerks today and they all told me the management wants even more and to outdo the other places by a clear margin. I have only 1 word in conclusion : Greedy
Managed to watch the Singapore Idol Results and so I was wrong. However , I am still sticking to my prediction of the final outcome. Yeah , Sylvester is the one.
After changing 3 partners , tml 's new partner will be sticking with me till Christmas. We wont have any miscommunication problems coz we worked together b4 once previously and know each other's style of doing work pretty well. Cheers !
A simple day
Today is my off day after working for 1 week consecutively. However I still woke up early , guess I am getting used to now sleeping early and waking up early every morning because every morning I have to wake up at 7 + to prepare and travel to make it on time at 10 am to start work and end at 7 pm. Today went down to my management's place to look for Stacy Jie to pass her my time-sheet for the week and also discussed with her some work stuffs. Before that I was in Bugis to walk around for a while to look at some stuffs. Actually I intended to pay 2 of my colleagues who were posted there a visit since I was nearby but was surprised to find the christmas counter empty. Weird. Then I saw no. 5 (rank number 5 of the management at my workplace). She is my direct supervisor and today she also off. So qiao3. To talk more about my workplace..it's basically alright there except eating might be a problem because there are no foodcourts or hawker centres nearby. The no.1 and no.2 there keep stressing us to boost more sales and I learnt from Stacy Jie that till now most places didnt do that well in terms of number of orders as compared to mine lo. wth. Luckily all of us understand that the no.1 in my workplace there is abit unbalanced mentally. zz. My partner is working for the last day today due to her having to take care of her grandma because she is in a critical condition in hospital. Haiz. So the newbie that stood in for me today may start alongside with me tml when I resume work or maybe some newbie may come who knows. I am definitely sticking till Christmas Day itself , which is my last day. Then yesterday met up with my project mates at J8..didnt noe J8 changed until like this..wah..can imagine it's so long since I last went there.
Later can watch Ren Wo Ao You aka The Champion. Today last episode ! I think this type of show rocks and mediacorp should have more such ou xiang ju and to recruit more help from Taiwan of course because we know that just based on the so call idols from Singapore is not gonna help much. The Champion is a nice show and I like Yilin ! She is really ke ai and got the qi4 zhi4 ...fits the bill of my ideal girl. But too bad her character is not good , until the last part when she finally changed. Actually..what's the use of having a good package outside but the opposite inside ? I rather choose some1 inferior but has a good heart..and she must be filial to parents too. That's the least I expect , because my parents are the ones who brought me up and I love and respect them a lot and she must be in good terms with my parents.
Speaking of idols..Daphne out of Singapore Idol le. I am predicting the final showdown is between Olinda and Sylvester with the latter emerging as the victor. If really must choose I think Sylvester should get it. Ok , I am not a freaking gay neither am I like those crazy girls who drool over how good-looking he is or watever but personally I like his style and the way he carry himself. He is not really a punk , neither can u call him a beng coz he is not exactly like one..that's why is like a "punk-beng" style/image , a term I come up with and I like this style. Kinda similar to mine. haha. He's got the attitude , and I applaude it.
Is back to work tml. Ah !
Nvm about the previous post. Yesterday night was spending quite some time blogging then when I clicked publish the blogger system jammed up. Was fucked up alright so headed to sleep. Besides , I was burned out. Will just blog wat happened these past few days.
Saturday : was supposed to have a cla outing among ourselves but the eventual turnout was disappointing. Only 5 people turned up. Even KY last minute pang seh coz he got something on. Met up with the girls in town in the afternoon originally was to head to K-Pool for pool but switched to Mambo instead. Was there for few hours b4 we headed to Marina for steamboat. We sat the wrong shuttle bus which ferried us from Marina Bay mrt station to Marina South , thus ended eating at the wrong restaurant. The food was alright la , passable but still some food is not worth taking for example crabs coz they are not fresh. Nevertheless we had much fun cooking and joking around. After that spent some time for a few games at the arcade b4 leaving for home via train. Hopefully there will be more outings following up and also more number of people turning up. Otherwise , such gatherings and outings etc will be meaningless.
Sunday : Slept for only 6 hours+ but still had to get up for work. I was involved in a 2-Sundays promotional event in collaboration with Visa aimed for the benefit of Filipinos by encouraging them to sign up for some visacard so that they can remit money back to their country easier and stuff like that. My original requirement was just to usher them and that was what I did last week but today due to some changes my responsibility was just to give out fliers. It was so meaningless , standing at some strategic station and giving out fliers like a retard. For the sake of money..well..no choice. My partner , Loy , also felt the same. Last week so enthu today was like half dead. lol. Towards the closing hours at 4+ we did some last ditched effort by giving out bottled mineral water to the crowd. Machiam like santa claus. It did work in some way or other. Humans. How realistic.
Monday - Will be taking over promoting christmas stuffs starting from tml onwards. Today went for briefing at Peace Centre and nearly couldnt find the place. Luckily saw Cheryl , 1 of my fellow colleagues at the Visa event who will also be doing this christmas promoting but is at different location...so ended going to the right place. The briefing was long and boring and nearly dozed off. The whole lot of us will be sent to different locations in Singapore promoting the same stuffs. So anybody need hams , turkeys , wines , party platters , christmas trees and cakes and dinner sets etc must let me know k ? I got lobang. :) After the briefing we got to sample the stuffs we are gonna promote and they tasted great ! Really ! Hang out with my 2 other fellow colleagues. We sampled almost everything b4 leaving. haha. After that came back home to rest and change out of formal attire to something more comfortable b4 leaving for amk library to look for some materials for cla project. A bit disruption along but I still want to do well in this project , no matter how busy I am. These hols will be occupy by work , homework and project. I will be working almost everyday till Christmas. Hopefully during my off days still can come out to unwind though.
