Focus less on the competition , but instead the main priority is to overcome yourself to achieve the goals. That's one thing I never seems to learn.
Went for NS medical checkup at CMPB today with my friend who booked the same day and same time with me. Was feeling nauseous along the journey because of lack of sleep due to staying up late the previous night to do my work. Luckily by the time we reached there I was alright. I hate to puke in public because of two reasons. Firstly , because I will probably end up in a mess and have to clean up after that. Secondly , there will be no image. Of course when nature calls it nobody can prevent it from happening but I hope I won't ever kanna it. The last time I puked out in public was when I was young. Still remembered it was along the journey to Genting. You know , travelling by coach up those roads.
Sleep is such a necessity but is easily being overlooked , especially by those night owls. For me , sleep has clearly become a luxury as the days go by.
Anyway I got into Pes A and so did my friend. =) Actually it's not very much a big deal because most people belong to this category anyway.
I will continue this next time because I am going to sleep now.
Finally had the chance to watch
Initial D today. Damn cool.
I wanted to watch it long ago but had to wait because of mid-year exams. What luck , it had to open on the 23rd of June ------- the day before the exams start. So well , after the last paper today(tomorrow still have , if u count listening compre as a paper as well) immediately flew to J8 with friends to watch. Flew ? Well , literally. I was so excited. I already knew this film is going to be diao because weeks before it was slated to open I was already listening to the main and sub-theme songs on my Window Media Player. Moreover , there were accolades of this show coming from everywhere. Today after I watched it , it substantiated my view. Everything rocks , especially the drifting parts which I like it best. My favourite car is Mazda RX-7 lll [FC3S] driven by Ryosuke Takahashi. Ok , I know that in the end Takumi Fujiwara's Toyota Trueno GT-APEX [AE86] emerged as champion but still , FC has always been my all-time favourite car. Anyway everything is just too DIAO for words and I can't wait for the vcd to be out so that I can watch it anytime I like. Speaking of which , I feel like watching it again. Anybody interested ? First time a movie can make me feel like wanting to watch again. I cannot imagine anybody will give excoriating reviews of this film. If anybody does that , I think he / she deserves to be slapped. haha !
Rating : 9.5 /10
If you still have not catch this summer's most hip and coolest movie -------
Initial D , it's highly recommended that you immediately grab your wallet and fly to the nearest cinema and watch !
NKF's charity show is as heart-wrenching as all the other charity shows. I mean look at those less fortunate people. The pain emanated from these people who are constantly fighting with the evil illnesses is so palpable. One really wonder , can this be compared to the rants which the perfectly healthy human beings yelped out incessantly ?
Of course not.
They have such strong determination and will power to live and fight on. Why ? Because they want to live and are fighting for every opportunity to. On the other hand , some perfectly healthy human beings decide that life is meaningless and are playing with their lives by endangering themselves using the most deleterious ways but yet showing every sign that they are such insipid creatures.
The former just augmented the true meaning of the derigueur morals and values a person should possess. They are the perfect models of nirvana. Vice versa , the latter is an embodiment of cowardice.
Shame on those who belong to the latter category.
Anyway I like today's charity show. Nothing too dangerous , but sincerity and warmth pervading. I very much prefer this style because it shows that even without putting the lives of our artistes at stake it can still enthrall the audience. Hopefully , this style will stick in future charity shows. It helps too , that the hosts today are behaving the way they should in charity shows instead of the irksome manner some displayed when they got too emotional. For instance , portraying a rather nasty image to the audience by using "threatening" methods when the donation figures are not ineffectual. Mind you , there's a world of difference between "demanding" and "urging". Cao Qi Tai is very much the host who is prone to this demeanour.
Speaking of which , his name always has a recrudescence of a common but yet overused hokkien expletive. Follow me , try saying out his name.
No prizes for guessing it correctly. For those who dunno , either you are too innocent or I construed that you are just putting a spurious self.
